Harvia GreenFlame Woodburning Stove
![]() |
Woodburning stove with the lowest emissions in the world. The Harvia GreenFlame is an ecological woodburning stove. The GreenFlame causes less strain to the environment: studies show that its carbon monoxide emissions are 80 % smaller, wood consumption is 25 % smaller, and operating life 100 % longer than ordinary wood-burning stoves. There is also considerably less particulate emission than in an ordinary woodburning stove. The GreenFlame combines an ecological sauna bath with modern design. The patented control automation of the GreenFlame directs the air needed for burning to the right place at the right time. Wood burns longer and cleaner, and the burning efficiency stays extremely high. The body of the fire chamber is cooled with the incoming combustion air, making GreenFlame a long-lasting stove. During the fire-starting phase, combustion air is fed to the chamber from underneath the grate. When the stove is hot, the control automation directs air on the fire. Once the fire is out and the temperature of the stove has fallen, the air input channels are closed automatically. The control automation is based on the thermal expansion of metal. The lids of the soot opening of the GreenFlame stove are ceramic glass, allowing the warm glow of the fire to be seen between the stones. This small but substantial invention complements the atmosphere in the woodburning sauna in a whole new way! The large glass door of the stove is designed to close automatically. The product is patented and it is tested by the Technical Research Centre of Finland, VTT (Certificate no. VTT-C-3710-09). |
