Seppo's Sauna

My brother Seppo has been dreaming to have his own sauna 
since 24 years ago when he moved from Finland to Canada.
One year ago his family bought a «Sauna Pekka» out door sauna.

Seppo's three season «Sauna Pekka»
from Harvia, Finland arrived one day 
last summer in well created cartoon boxes.

Solange, Seppo, Terhi and Teuvo

open the boxes in one sunny 
Saturday morning.

Seppo has made the concrete slab 
one week before.
He started first with included vapor
barrier shingles.

The «family crew» followed Harvia's 
well documented installation introductions 
installing the prefab insulated
factory made panels together with 
included screws. 
In the first morning hour the sauna 
interior was there.
It was a joy to get it ready without
any carpenter skills.

When sun was still up at dinner time
«Sauna Pekka»
was there waiting an electrician 
to hook-up on Monday morning
the Harvia Topclass 8 kW
heater and sauna light.

"What a joy it has been since. 
Even Solange my French Canadian 
wife felt in love to this create sauna
I have waited too long", 
my brother told me.

"It is only few steps away from our
small community swimming pool !
I use it least ones per week and when
my children and specially my 
grand son Mika arrives every day."

Solange and Seppo lives in Saint-Adéle
in Laurentides
